PRIVACY POLICY STATEMENT

The Primary aim is to provide quality health care to clients. To do so requires the collection by the Practice of patient health information from  time to time. The Practice will only request information of a nature properly required for the Client’s treatment.

The Practice conforms to Privacy Legislation and the National Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 and in accordance with each Practitioners registered Professional organisation. All health information provided by the Client, to the Practice will remain confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party including other treating health professionals without the Client’s prior consent.

All health information is retained in secure storage and all staff members are familiar with the obligation to treat the Client’s records confidentially.

The Client is entitled to review their health information held by the Practice and if the Client wishes to access their information this should be discussed with the treating Provider. Similarly, if the Client has any concerns about the Practice’s treatment of their health information, the Client should discuss these concerns with the treating Provider.
